i am tired of mac & cheese, grilled cheese, hot dogs, and pizza! i want something delicious that the whole family will enjoy but isn't a hassle to make quickly. also, it's hot, so if no oven is required, that's a bonus. thanks!!!

  1. Im a Nanny to a two year old and im constantly looking for easy- healthy meals for the picky eater !

    As a main meal:

    - Ham and cheese rolled up into logs and cut up

    -Fish sticks

-Whole Wheat tortilla with melted cheese and ham * The boy i watch really loves his cheese

-Mashed potatoes ( Alot of the times i mix in vegtable puree in there to add nutrioius value, he cant even tell!)

    -Steamed veggies

    - Vienna Sausage ( look for these in canned-meat isles, kids love them and they're perfect size for toddlers)

    As a side:

-Ritz crackers w/ some Peautbutter ( your guy may be a little young for this but give it a try)

    -Rice , Couscous or such

-Cut up Carrot-logs , they love to just chew on them

Mix and match - best of luck !

  2. My son is 21months and really enjoys couscous (sorry if not spelled right) with butter and Parmesan cheese some chicken nuggets and fresh green beans with butter. Then chop up all sorts of fruit for some fruit salad as a dessert!

Another possibility is elbow macaroni with tomato sauce and a little ground beef (or turkey).  My grandma calls this goulash.

    Good Luck!!!

  3. cheese and vegetable quesadillas

  4. What about sliced turkey sandwiches and potato or macaroni salad.

The 18 month old can eat both just cut up the Turkey(slices )in small pieces....and you don't have to use the oven...it's simple but yummy and the turkey makes you tired so the baby sleeps better.

    My daughter loved it.

  5. my 14 month old loves chicken primavera.  It's super easy and you just have to cut up the little one's portion into smaller pieces. All you need is...

Some pre-cooked grilled chicken breast chunks (these are usually with the salad stuff at the groc. store)

    pasta of your choice

    a jar of Alfredo sauce

frozen Italian veggies that steam in the microwave

    Then....

    cook the pasta

    add....

    chicken chunks

    Alfredo sauce

    and warm up

    then add...

    steamed veggies

fresh tomatoes (if you want them)

serve with bread (or salad...or whatever)

Easy desert that kids (and grown ups) LOVE:

slice a banana in half length wise LEAVE THE PEAL ON

place on a baking tray and top with chocolate chips

put in the oven until chips are melted

    top with mini marshmallows

put in the broiler until marshmallows are toasted

Enjoy! (the bananas slide right out of the peel)

  6. My son loves Quesidillas. VERY VERY easy.

Flour tortillas, colby jack cheese, some grilled chicken (or beef, or just cheese if you're veggie) They can be cooked in a skillet until the cheese it melted.

Or easy ravioli....requires an oven but only for like 10 min

    Cheese (or beef) frozen ravioli

1 jar (the 26 oz size) of spaghetti sause

    Garlic (just a bit)

    Green pepper (just a bit)

    and motz cheese.

    And garlic bread

Cook the garlic and green pepper diced in a sauce pan until the veggies are tender.

Add in the sauce and ravioli, cook until it boils.

Take a glass baking dish (corell works great) and add about half of the ravioli mixture, top with cheese. Add the rest...stick the hunks of garlic bread around the side of the baking pan (stick them in the ravioli mixture, so they are on their side sort of sticking out) top with more cheese.

Bake at 350* until the bread is chrispy brown.

    My son LOVES this.

  7. My daughter is all about spaghetti! (or pascetti as she says.. lol). Sure it's messy for her to eat.. but she LOVES it! I also make Beef Stroganoff that she devours.. and a mild chili. She's all about eating "grown up" food. lol!
