What can i make out of wood?

Question

so im doing a school project for my technology. I can make anything i want that i can use at home out of wood. Im really stuck for ideas, and thought maybe something like some speakers or a key rack.

hoping to make something more original though.. any ideas?

Make a jewlery box then when you get graded give it to mom.

Make a bird house all you need is a coffee can and build around it for the bird to stay in, with a little piece of wood for the bird to stand on and paint it.

How about chopsticks? Just keep on carving them with a knife until it turns into slim chopsticks!

it all depends on the level of your skill. If you are looking to make something out of wood that shows technology there is always the derby cars. If you are looking for something else you can make a box, or a frame. This is a project that if you would have given a little more information it would have been a little easier.

What about a simple plant stand?

a pegrack?

a wooden trivet for hot dishes? (you could woodburn a     design - if you don't have the tools, check with your teacher.)

a geometric (no curves) puzzle with the wood stained/painted

    different colors? (this could also be decorative)

a simple wooden candle holder?

Go nuts!  Just look around the house and see if there are

some things you think you could make just as well from wood.
