  1. any thing that rots-grass clippings leaves, vegetable peals,

    coffee grounds,newspapers.you  need a 3 x 3 area dug down about 6-inches.turn the compost every 2-3 months

  2. All vegetable matter that is raw or cooked without oil or butter or salt. No meat products. Old newspaper, cardboard pieces and leaves will help. Grass clippings need to be mixed with leaves and shredded newspaper 1/3. Also turn the pile every 2-3 months. The pile needs to be at least 2 feet in diameter and as tall as you can pile it. Keep it moist but not wet. The pile will generate a lot of heat when it is working properly, keep it away from all buildings.

  3. You can use a garbage can. Make sure you aerate it by pnching holes in it all the way around and from top to bottom. Use layers of organic garbage like coffee grounds, watermellon rinds, apple cores...as well as paper produts ( old newpapers, cardboard, grocery bags...Make sure you wet the paper to make it moist. Alternate these layers until it is full. Then put the lid on the garbage can and roll it once a week. After about six weeks you should have good compost as long as you continue to keep it moist and roll it.
