  1. Poo

  2. The corpses of  their fellow fruitflies, it'll scare them sh*tless.  Trust me I know these things.

    :)

  3. Fruitflies are attracted to fermented sugar.  Fruitflies are most often found in sink drains, garbage cans and house plants.

For the sink drains, I recommend boiling a pot of water and pouring it down your kitchen sink with vinegar (or bleach, but NOT both) once a month.  The same kind of treatment should be used for your garbage cans that are in the kitchen.

Houseplants and food prep areas can be sprayed with water and vinegar (spray bottle).  This 2-fold approach attacks the breeding grounds of fruitflies and kills the nuisance fruitflies that are flying around.

  4. fruit

  5. You can make a trap that will keep their numbers way down.

An open saucer with some fruit juice,

(if it's a little 'off', so much the better),

and some dish washing liquid, (just a dab).

The flies are attracted to the scent if the juice, but when they land,

the lower surface tension of the detergent traps them and they drown.

  6. take a cup and put orange pop (sugary drink) or a piece of fruit with water(to drowned them) then you but plastic wrap over with little holes in it (about 7). then they crawl on the top because they smell it then fall in and the only way they get out is if they get lucky and happen to fly up and hit where the hole is.

  7. About a half inch of red wine. They go in after it and drown. Whiskey works too.

I found this out by accident. I had a glass with a bit of red wine still in it left out on the kitchen counter. After a couple of days, it was full of dead flies.

  8. red wine vinegar or apple cider vinegar, as long as it's sweet.  put some in a jar and cover it with cling film.  poke some holes in the film and set it somewhere.  the flies can get in, but not out.  the smell attracts them and they drown.

  9. Put a half inch of vinegar in a plastic soda bottle

They go in but not out
