My dog finishes all his kongs very quickly when i put peanut butter or cream cheese in them with his kibble. Whats somethings i can put in there to make it last long? Also i have frozen them, but he stills gets at them.

  1. Smear the peanut butter in there without the kibble - it's making it easier for him to get out! The butter on its own will stick to the insides and will be harder to get plus you can try some mint creams, mashed up and pushed into the harder to reach places in the kong.

  2. If your dog like mine enjoys food, then it will not matter what you put in or how big your kong is.  We have the largest Kong's and our Bull Terriers pick them up in their jaws and slam dunk them into the ground so nothing lasts, except the kong.

Try putting the kong in an old quilt it takes them ages to get the kong out.  Only draw back is the quilt does not last as long as the kong.

    Good luck

  3. I've heard of people putting chicken broth or veggie broth in them and freezing them.  I would think that would take some times to get out.  Maybe your dog needs a bigger kong?

  4. ~ I like peanut butter for my pets. I pack the kong with the peanut butter than put it in the freezer. Takes them a few hours to clean it out.

  5. Peanut butter is good, but if he really eats it fast, maybe you should get a bigger kong.

  6. I use either peanut butter or their own moistened dog food---but whatever I use, I freeze so it takes longer to eat.
