I am trying to be healthier an lose abit of weight an I normally eat the yoghurts with the additives an sugar an stuff added to them but thats not very good for losing weight i doubt. Anyways I thought id try eating some natural yoghurt instead so i bought some natural greek yoghurt and OMG i cant stand to eat much of it it has such a strange taste which i dont like. Could I add something which is lowfat to it to give it a nicer flavour? And dont say put honey on it as i dont like honey

  1. Greek yoghurt is as someone else mentioned quite fattening. Next time try a plain low fat yoghurt.

Since you don't like honey then I suggest that you take a handful of berries (which ever you like) and pure them with a blender or handblender (or if you don't have one with a fork). Mix it with the joghurt then you have a delicious flavoured yoghurt that taste of your favourite berries.

If you prefer apples, peach or pears you can slice them up, peel them and boil them in a little bit of water for 1-2 minutes and then pure them. Then mix it.

Or you can sqeeze some oranges and mix in the orange juice.

You can also just slice up the fruit but that wont disguise the yoghurt flavour as well.

another thing that may disguise it is cinnamon but then you probably would need to mix it with some sugar or honey in order not to be too dry in flavour, and then you are back to square one with not being really healthy.

  2. add some sliced or cut up fruits (i like strawberries and bananas)

  3. chickpeas with a dash of cinnamon! It takes like a more fresh bagel with cream cheese I'mm not even kidding. Delishous.

Add a dab of honey if you prefer some sweetness. I know I do.

  4. Instead of the strong Greek yogurt, I like just plain fat free yogurt.  For sweeteners I add fruits and cinnamon.

  5. Honey" then don't use it", fresh fruits you like, nuts, cinnamon, brown sugar, dried fruit, Organic Maple syrup. Fresh chopped mint. Nectarines, lavender blossoms, Poach pears, apricots, clementine's or any other fruit you like in a light wine poaching liquid and add your yogurt to that.  Dried figs are lovely with greet yogurt too.

If your interested in Greek desserts one classic is Nectarines with greek yogurt honey and lavender blossoms, so yummy  but it has honey in it.

Not knowing what brand you have this is just an idea, so read the lable on your container if there is one. Also a usual serving is 1/2 a c anything more and your blowing any diet you have unless its low fat or fat free.

  6. Any fruit would help :) I actually do this for my young son - as I have noticed that the "baby" yoghurts have more sugar than some grown up ones!!! I buy the plain bio-dynamic yoghurt (don't get Greek if you want to lose weight) and mix it with fruit puree, usually apple or pear. If you don't want the hassle, Woolworth's Select now has a no added sugar apple sauce that is nice (you'll find it in the tomato sauce aisle.) The muesli idea is good too, and that would also help to fill you up! Also, if you think you are hungry, try having a glass of water first :)

  7. mix a bit of jam in with it or fresh fruit. i use pumpkin seeds in mine as it adds a really nice flavour and crunch so its not just boring yoghurt. also try ading a few drops of lemon juice which is nice.

if your wanting low calorie id say try seeds and berries and fresh fruit

    xx

  8. I like putting on grape nut flakes, granola,or anything crunchy.

  9. First I think that greek yoghurt is fattening. if you want proof go to the supermarket and compare how much fat greek yoghurt has compared to something like yoplait light.

To answer your question I recomend using berries (blueberry is the best- and it is one of the best sources of antioxidants to help you look younger and healthier), or you could buy some flavoured museli, I recomend woolworths select range blueberry flavour which would also provide you with antioxidants and fibre which may help you loose weight too.

  10. Try it with natural muesli sprinkled on top, or add some fresh blueberries.

  11. i like to eat strawberries and bananas with mine....or you could make a smoothie out of it. just put milk the yogurt the fruit and some ice in the blender and you have your smoothie! =)

  12. definently try peaches or mango or cantaloupe! =]

  13. Hi: why not put some fruits in it, strawberries or blueberries maybe bananas.Fruits are fresh and naturally sweet. That's what I put on mine it helps a lot. Be bless in Jesus name.
