What can i put over the blinds in my apartment to keep out heat?

If you want to buy something decorative, look for a lined curtain or drape.  

In my extra room, I just have a very small, thin blanket tucked into the top of the blinds because a lot of sun comes in that window.  I don't much care how it looks but it's easy enough to pull down if I have company.  A towel would probably work too.

insulated drapes, and if you dont mind the darkness, a cheap way is to put tin foil up, tape it over the windows shiny side out, it reflects the sun away from your window......keep cool
