  1. try some boiling water and add some honey!! it doesnt smell great or taste so nice either but it will soothe your throat & chest

  2. Well, one can't under estimate coughs, specially if it takes too long to cure them. There are different stages though, and it's best if you consult your doctor if the cough is recurring or is something that's really been there for the longest time.

I had cough a few weeks back and my doctor dad just told me to drink lots and lots of liquid. After a few weeks, and my cough wasn't cured yet, I was advised to take antibiotics.

But then again, you got to consult a doctor because who knows maybe you have asthma or pneumonia and you never knew about it.

  3. Codeine.

  4. licorice herb or tincture

  5. You could try making a hot drink from Carrageen moss (a dried seaweed from Ireland you can get in most health stores) Lemon, hot water and honey, or if the seaweed puts you off try grating fresh ginger, honey, lemon and hot water. Sounds like you have a productive cough and you’ll need a cough mixture or sounding by the colour of your phlegm antibiotics. Also drink plenty of water and just get rest. Look after yourself.

  6. Salvia tea. Where I live it is called marva, but the proper name in English is salvia. It works as an expectorant and helps cure the infection.

Boil water and steep a few salvia leaves in the boiled water for a few minutes and drink. You will probably want to add honey as well, as salvia has a slightly bitter taste.
