  1. Most likely, you have a grease stoppage, and nothing around the house is going to clear grease from a pipe.  If you are lucky, there will be a cleanout outside, protruding through the wall.  Remove the cap from the clean out.  This will allow the water to drain outside the house, until you can afford a sewer snake.  Good luck!

  2. Just go rent one.

  3. If a plunger won't work, you can try a shop vac to bring the clog back up.  If that doesn't work, or you don't have a wet-or-dry shop vac, you can use the hose method someone else mentioned already, but wrap a rag around the end and try to force a seal with your hand as you turn on the water. I won't say use chemical drain opener because you said you are broke and you could buy a cheap plumbers snake for the price of a bottle of liquid drain opener.

  4. garden hose, stick it in until you feel the clog then turn it on.

  5. if its a sink drain then most probably the clog is right there at the bottom of the trap. so unscrew the trap anddump the stuff in the garbage. then s***w the trap back on. And put a pot under it in case it leaks a little.

try a piece of rubber hose or a thin coat hangar
