  1. Mixed greens are just an assortment of different lettuces. There is no substitute for any of the other ingredients - otherwise it will not be a greek salad.

  2. Those are the main ingredients in a Greek salad..because they are foods and herbs widely available and consumed in  Greece, and other parts of the Medditerranean. You can make any salad using substitutions, but it will no longer be a Greek salad.

Instead of feta cheese, you can try crumbled blue cheese.

Don't like olives, just leave them out.

You can find Greek seasoning blend at your local supermarket.

Mixed greens are when you use a variety of different lettuces. The most popular is mesculin mix, which comes bagged, pre-washed and ready to eat.

  3. Find a recipe that you DO have the ingredients for.

  4. Ummm.....if you change all of those ingredients...including the feta...then you nolonger have a greek salad...you have salad and can use whatever you want.
