  1. What? You do not put anything on brake discs ---------------- ever! You can clean them with steel wool or a Scotch Brite pad but if you put anything on it you will lose braking efficiency.


  2. The only thing you can use is the BRAKE CLEANER spray.

    Anything else will leave residue and cause the pad to glaze.

    But brake cleaners were really mean for DRUM brakes and the dust from it.  It really does NOT shine it.

  4. Brake and clutch cleaner is the only product you want on your discs, it evaporates very quickly and is intended to clean off dust from the pads while leaving no residue, general cleaning can be done with water and a small steel wire brush, I use a suede brush.
