What can i use to clean the surface of my guitar, also what are some things i can do to restore and maintainit

I always clean mine with a mild cleaner like windex. Spray a little on the cloth, not on the guitar. Occasionally, I polish it with one of those liquid polymer car waxes (not the fretboard). Wipe the strings down with a clean dry cloth immediately after playing. I know there are a lot of expensive products offered out there, but most are not needed.
