  1. I try to keep clutter in the tanks to a minimum, that way the leo's have space to move around. A hide on each side is enough, which can be made out of plastic containers with holes cut in them (make sure you sand down the holes so they are not rough), driftwood, and even paper towel rolls while the gecko is small (when they get big, make sure you remove them so they do not get stuck!).

For food dishes, you can use tops to different kitchen containers, or just go to the store and buy small dishes. I picked up several ceramic bowls from Target for $1.00 a piece. I use these for water, as well as a calcium dish.

There are a lot of cheap ways to decorate and save money on reptiles. Use paper towels instead of reptile carpet in the cage, and don't waste your money at the pet store. You can buy a very similar product elsewhere for half the price.

Here are two excellent references for maintaining reptiles on a budget:

  2. A plastic Storage Box. Around 5 bucks. Use Newspaper as the Substrate

  3. Legos For hides. make sure its clean

Ziploc plastic bowl for water bowl. make sure its clean

    Paper Towel Rolls for hides.

Cups With a entrance hole for hides. make sure its clean

  4. Well you need a hiding area like an old container with a hold cut into it.

    You can also use:

    Paper towel roles

    fake plants and flowers

    Boxes

    Dishes

    Containers

    Ping Pong balls

    Sanitized sticks from outdoors

    thats all
