  1. You can't. Practice through the pain. lol

    Eventually it goes get better the skin hardens on the tips of your fingers, but there is much you can do to get rid of the soreness.

  2. the more you play, the less it hurts so... play more

  3. That tends to happen when you first start. The problem with beginners is that they tend to push down the strings way to hard. I have an excersize you can do. What I want you to do is take your index finger on your left hand(or right if you are left handed) and place it on the sixth string first fret. Don't push down hard. Just place your finger on it. Now apply pressure and start hitting the string with the other hand. Gradually increase pressure until you hear the note clearly. I bet you that you were pushing down way to hard. Do this with every string so you can get to feel how hard you need to push down. Also.... get some guitar lube for your strings. They will make the strings softer and easier to move from one fret to another. If this doesn't work try some different strings. Maybe something smaller. Hope this helps. Ever have any questions let me know. I have been playing for 11 years.

  4. Yesterday ! no wonder, it takes months before you gain the callouses required to play without pain. As soon as your fingers start to hurt stop playing, about twenty minutes a day to start. Don't keep playing when your fingers become very painful, I know, years ago I didn't listen and had to see a hand Dr. several times. Also make sure that your holding your fingers correctly, perpendicular to the strings, it seems weird in the beginning but this is the correct way, and in the long run it will pay off when songs become more complicated ! And please get a teacher, even if it's only for the first year, ( or go on a link that teaches guitar, just go on google and type in this, guitar lessons )  this way you'll have the basics correct. There are free sites out there also but I'm not crazy about those, but if you can't afford a teacher check them out. One that's not too bad is ;

    I hope that this helped !

  5. Just practice until you cant bare the pain and the ice them until they feel better, but if you do it enough your fingers will get used to it
