  1. use mineral oil never veg or olive oil it will go rank.

  2. i use an oil from ikea specially for wooden boads

    its called Behandel oil

  3. Only use mineral oil. It won't get rancid like olive oil will. Its sold at the drug store.

  4. i assume it is a wooden board, if so then you don't need to seal it just scrub and sanitise with cold water after use, do not use hot water as it opens the woodgrains and holds the bacteria in that will then mulitply and make you poorly, dettox is good!

  5. Olive oil

  6. You don't need to seal it, not with oil, not with anything. Just give it a good scrub with warm/hot water with a splash of detergent.

  7. olive oil

pour on liberaly and rub in with cotton wool... keep rubbing until the wood is well soaked all round and leave it to soak for about 3 hours... then polish with a soft clean white cloth.

  8. I use either olive oil, or vegatable oil, if I plan on using it as a cutting board or chopping block.  DO NOT USE MINERAL OIL. REMOVE ANY AND ALL FINISH, FROM THE MANUFACTURER. If you plan on using it for other than a counter top.  These products are not safe for humanconsumption.  If you buy any product/finish from anywhere, READ the label and see if it is SAFE for human consumption.  Over time Mineral Oil can make you sick, and you will never find the cause of your illness.
