What can i wear for a formal baby shower ??!!

so tomorrow is my godmother's baby shower and i don't know what to wear ! shes making it formal so its in a banquet hall, from noon to four. im almost 17 so i was thinking skinny jeans with heels and a cute top but i dont know what kind of top to look for !!! can u give some suggestions ?? thank you, i would appreaciate it very much!! =]]

Formal?  At 1 in the afternoon?  Sounds like she wants you to wear a dress.  Jeans are never acceptable for a formal occasion.

A nice dress would be great. Or instead of skinny jeans, try wearing some black slacks with a nice blouse. Good luck!

Whoa formal baby shower?! Well, I'd assume we're going along the lines of afternoon tea/brunch style.

Definitely, no jeans.

A dress would work best, either just below or just above the knee. See examples in the links below.

NO JEANS.  If she's wanting formal...you should wear a dress.  I'd go with a cute sundress and cute shoes...not flip flops.  :)

No jeans; jeans are never appropriate for anything deemed formal. A dress or a nice pantsuit would be more appropriate.

I have never heard of a formal baby shower.  But if it is formal then jeans are definitely out.  A nice dress would be way more appropriate.
