  1. wear an elegant dress. Something like a black dress, with diamond like jewelry.

  2. Do you know how formal it is? If it is a black tie or formal military wedding, the Ladies may be in full length dresses.

  3. Exactly like Pebbles said.  Perfect answer.

  4. It would be nice if you could find out from other guests how formal they plan to dress.  If your boyfriend is in the bridal party and will be wearing a tux, you could dress more formally to match his attire.

    Most evening weddings are formal and evening wear would be appropriate, but I have noticed that many of the old traditions aren't practiced.

  5. Just wear a pretty dress!

  6. Wow! its best to have  a real beautiful long evening outfit! if you like pastel shades the most beautiful color could be a turquoise, dark rose, or go for bold red, emerald green-Black is good but not for summer wear-High heels a must! keep the dress line simple no frills or flounces-Enjoy your day I am sure you will be radiant

  7. I agree with Pebbles' list with one exception - you can have your dress at a comfortable length, there is no need to wear it that short. Tea-length is fine for a wedding.

  8. pointers:

    * nothing tacky, too revealing, sassy or s**y - keep it sweet and conservative

    * a dress, just above the knee. No longer (or you'll look too conservative) and not any shorter (its not respectful)

    * go for dark colours, and simple patterns. You do not want to stand out - your already nervous, no need to grab more attention

    * high heels

    * diamond jewelery

    * matching hand bag

    * hair simply curled or straighten (no up do's... you do not want to look like you went all out.. you want to appear more natural)

    *the key is to look classy, sophisticated and respectable.

  9. If it's in the summer/spring, a bright/light colored formal dress. If it's in the fall/winter, a dark colored formal dress.
