What can i write in an essay about why i want to join a sorority and what i can give to the sorority?

I KIND OF KNOW WHY I WANT TO BE IN IT I JUST DONT KNOW WHAT I CAN BRING TO THE SORORITY OTHER THAN MY PERSONALITY!!!! its an high school sorority

Hi.  I think I would suggest that you avoid a high school sorority.  It won't have any ties to a larger, national organization and will likely not be a positive experience.  Once you go to college, I would strongly suggest that you consider going through your school's formal recruitment and learn about/meet members of all of the sororities and then you can make an educated decision as to whether you want to join or not and if so,you'll also be able to make a fully informed decision as to the ones you like and the ones you do not.

The essay topic this high school sorority has assigned should give you an idea of what the sorority is concerned with: the matterial things you'll be able to provide.  A true sorority (which means sisterhood, btw) is concerned about finding new members with integrity and strong convictions, not about their money or stuff.

My advice. Stay out of the sororities, they are over rated. Make Normal friends who don't expect you to be anything other than yourself. You don't have to do anything to please them. They aren't worth joining. And you don't need to prove yourself to them.

First of all hun, what's wrong with you personality that you don't think it's enough to get into a sorority?  SELL YOURSELF!!!  If you are a hard worker, let them know!  If you're kindhearted, say so!  It's like trying to land a job; those who sell themselves well will get the position.

Now, the fact that this is a high school sorority can help you or hurt you if you plan on becoming a member in college.  It can help by giving you a taste of what the 'pledge process' or intake process will be like when you get to college, which will better prepare you mentally.  It can hurt you, because if your HS sorority is not a reputable org, people may attribute that to your character.  So think about it, OK?  Good luck!
