  1. I used to love going outside when I was younger! Get a big bucket of chalk. Make a game, that you walk on! You'll be the game pieces. Make it up as you go along. Here are some ideas...

*Draw a spiral shape: You have to spin around 3 times.

*Draw a number between 1-5: You have to hop as many times it says.

*Draw a chicken: You have to flap your arms 3 times, like your a chicken.

  2. try nickelodeon or the disney channel

  3. If you have noggin, they might watch that or a movie. My daughter is 3 and is glued to noggin. Blues clues, dora, diego, backyardagains, wonder pets.. all that. Other than that she likes disney movies and coloring.

  4. Make Kool Aid play dough-its easy and it will keep them busy for at least 30-45 minutes.  Here is the recipe:

        1 packet of Kool Aid

        1 cup boiling water

        2 Tb veg oil

         2 cups flour

        1/2 cup salt

mix all together!   This is colorfull and it smells good!  Give them wooden spoons, cookie cutters, rolling pins etc to play with!  My kids love this!

  5. take them to a ball pit, they will have fun for ages and you can sit and relax while keep an eye on them 2!

  6. watch tv, color, play outside, make crafts, and watch a movie

  7. Try to refrain from surrendering to TV till later in the day. The parent's aren't to happy to find out that their kids have been glued to the TV all day. Crayons and paper could be your savior, but every kid is different. The kids I babysit love playing dress up...I watch, take pictures, and put on hats. When it's nice out go for even a short walk and play with some sidewalk chalk or on a swing set if they have one. If they're girls they'll probably love barbies and if they're boys action figures are their thing. Ask them what their favorite things to do are too...Even ask their parents!

    Good luck and have fun!

  8. Have them color a picture ; or if its nice out ; give them some side-walk chalk and let them draw pictures in the drive way. Set up an obstical course in the backyard and have them run through it a couple times - kids love that

  9. Dressing up and playing make-believe.  Give them some safe dressup clothes, plastic cups and plates and let them put on a show for you.  My god-grandchild loves to sing songs. - Dr Jean is a great source.
