Polar Bears, like all animals, face danger from lots of different things.  But the truth is, they are like the "Canary in the Coal Mine".  When the Polar Bear starts to die off, we know that our earth will change in ways that we cannot understand.  If we protect the Polar Bear, we are protecting our future.  What we need to do is to stand up and ask our government to do more.  Ask our parents and congressmen to pass bills that will protect this wonderful animal.  Because when you protect the Polar Bear, you also protect all of the things that surround it, like the earth that it lives on.

Polar bears are only theoretically in danger IF the sea ice melts (which is the opposite of the recent trend), and IF the bears can't adapt (which they're notorious for doing).  All in all, listing polar bears as "endangered" is a feel good declaration by people who will never have to deal with polar bears rummaging in THEIR garbage.
