What can make a ghost leave or scare away?

There is no demon.

And even if there was, saying a stupid prayer won't make it go away.

prayer, positivity if it is a particularly malicious spirit or if it gets really bad call in a holy person to exorcise it.

Just say to it "I rebuke you in the name of Jesus Christ".   That should make it go away.  Or start saying the Lord's Prayer/ Our Father:

Our Father, who art in heaven,

Hallowed be thy Name.

Thy kingdom come.

On earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses,

As we forgive those who trespass against us.

Your feelings are valid. If you feel a energy source around you or an uneasy feeling your right on. We live in a spiritual world and there are lost spirits all over the place. Don't ask it to appear. When you get that feeling that your not alone and you'll know just ask it to go away or go back to who sent you. Or follow the light. Lost spirit your not wanted here. Be firm and in a short time it'll go on it's way.

Just ask it to leave you alone.  Be respectful.  Say please and thank you.  I can not tell you if it is a demon or devil.   It might very well just be a ghost that wants some one to know it is there.  Imagine the loneliness.  No one can see or hear it.  Just say "Please leave me alone.  I know you are there, but I can not help you."  Believe it or not, it will.  At least you have nothing to lose by trying it.
