  1. Worn out pads or linings, loss of hydraulic brake fluid.

  2. not enough brake oil.

    damaged brake lining.

    messed up pads or rotors.

  3. a number of things. pretty much every compnent of the brake system is vital to your barking correctly. use this footnote to find you problem.....

    check in this order:

brake pads: check to see if they are worn down to the (screamers) these are little metal scrapers that make a squealing sound when the touch the rotors, they inform you that you need to change the pads. also, check for cracks, and if they are super smooth and shiny, this indicated over heating and is called "glazing" .

brake lines: check the rubber hoses running from the metal lines to the wheel calipers, note any "bubbles", tears, cuts, etc.. replace ant defective lines. then inspect the metal lines, by having someone step on the brakes, while you look under car for possible leaks. if so replace the metal lines.

calipers: take tires of one at a time, have someone pump the brakes slowly, watch and see if the calipers are gripping the rotors then letting go, if not you could have a worn caliper.

perportioning valve: this valve makes sure you have the correct pressure running to the front and back brakes, so that, the brakes slow your car down in a uniform manner (disc brakes take less pressure than the drums on the back). usually the effect of the valve going out is the loss of either the front or back brakes. it is located under the master cylinder and the brake lines run from the master cylinder to the valve.

and last, the master cylinder:  check to see how your fluid level is in the fluid tubs. next slowly push the brakes with the cover off, remember, push it slowly or you will have a mess. you should see the level go down a bit or see turbulence in the fluid. if not, your master cylinder needs replacing.

and thats about it, and now my fingers are hurting. goodluck

  4. only like a dozen answers most will be wore out parts... didnt say what happen but im guessing pads or master.. pads last about a year or more and the master you never know what has happen to them is driving they wear out  riding the brake with your foot,, hard stoping,, city driving all wears them out faster not having them check once or twice a year... is called car care you have to keep a eye on it

  5. Master cylynder.

  6. A heavy foot. Or someone who rest's their foot on the brake whilst driving.  Burnouts. Its the same with any car. I go through a set of brakes every 12 to 15 months. I have a heavy foot i'm not a resta foot.  They all need replacing sooner or later.

  7. some 1 cutting the lines no brake fluid this is a 93 model car everything should still work properly

  8. bad master cylinder, it's the thing that holds the brake fluid.
