  1. He should make a visa application with the nearest US consulate in Mexico.  The application fee is $131.  He'll be interviewed by a US consular officer.

  2. get a letter from the attending physician explaining his condition and have it mention the request for his son to come and pay what could his last respects and meet your uncle at the border, speak to the immigration officials there on the border and request a humanitarian visa. it is noramlly granted for a period of 3-5 days, you cannot request an extension, if you need more time your uncle would have to go back with another letter explaining the condition of his father. i did this for my father-in-law's brother and was granted the permit. best to do it late in the evening when things are not as hectic at the border.  Good Luck!!  permit cost is $6.00

  3. You should get a letter from your doctor, who will know what to write(and will probably charge you for it too!) and send it to your uncle who can then apply to the US Embassy, or the nearest US consulate for a family visit visa. That is a perfectly normal procedure, and officials know how to deal quickly with genuine emergency cases. All the details of what to do, and what supporting papers are needed, will be on the Embassy website. It may be an advantage if you can write a letter to your uncle, inviting him to visit your grandfather and why. That can then go with his visa application too.

Of course, the Embassy will have to be convinced that it is a genuine case and that your uncle can support himself or have proof of a sponsor for his visit, AND will leave at the end of whatever period he is granted.

Needless to say, you better get on with it straight way.

    Good luck.

  4. hopefully nothing, a permanent resident isn't a citizen

  5. Apply for a non immigrant visa. It's faster and cheaper. Good luck
