Plant as many trees in your garden and area as you can.

If anyone tries to cut trees on the street, report them.

Look at the Terracycle site to see if you can recycle with them. They pay for bottles, yogurt cups, cookie wrappers and drink pouches. If coworkers all collected they could quickly fill the collection bags.

Use public transport and a bicycle for as much travel as possible.   See if you can share some shopping trips with a neighbor if other transit options are not possible. Locally we have a neighbor who works near a brewery several of us use so he will stop off and pick up for five of us when planned ahead. This brewery fills our bottles so we reuse the jugs and caps.

Grow some of your own food so it doesn't have to be shipped if you have a garden. Make your own compost so you don't need fertilizers. Grow it organically. This is another way to reuse many household wastes since bottles and cans often find uses in a garden.
