... other than donating to cancer research? 10 points for best idea and maybe everyone will join in.

My heart goes out to the McGrath family, Glenn but especially those poor little children with no mum.

  1. may your cricket club could hold a found rise night with all

money  rise goes to the mcgrath foundation if all club get behind this  how mush could well all rise

  2. So sad.  I've just found out from the 6pm news...  Symphaty to the Mcgraths, to Glenn, to the beautiful children, parents of Jane and Glenn Mcgraths's family too...

Donation should be good but also we all (ourselves) have to be aware to it too, anything that they say might cause cancer should be avoided as possible as we can.. we just dont know who and when this killer desease will hit us...

    RIP Jane

    EDIT:  Well said MEL

  3. Slipper has said it all. We must do all we can to fight this insideous killer of women.

  4. burn effigies....of cancer...

  5. I suggest you get together with cricket fans in your local area - maybe approach your local club - and organise a match, nobody will care that it's out of season! Anyone can play, even (especially) kids, and take the buckets round to collect money for Cancer research. Get all the mums (sorry to be sexist here but it usually is the mums!) to bake a plate of cakes or biscuits and sell them to get extra money too. Get a reporter from your local paper to cover the event and publicise the donation hotline. Good luck.

  6. Totally true.

I'm so sad about her passing, especially for her kids.

This can be an incentive to treasure every day that we are blessed with, however.

    kisses x x x

  7. Donating is a great idea...also understanding why she past away. Her death has braught more awareness to cancer.

An idea is for everyone to put a symbol or a sign in their profile name in tribute to Jane McGrath.

But the most everyone can do is to really look at what and inspiration she has been. It stops and makes you think that your life isn't so bad...there are others out there suffering and you can reach out and help them.

  8. God bless and may she rest in peace.

Like Oz said we should spread awareness.

  9. I agree, just to donate to Cancer research has got to help.

    Condolences to the whole family.

  10. Well i think Jane and Glen would really appreciate your thoughts, but i know they would love it if people could donate money to the McGrath Foundation..

Jane was passionately raising money for more Breast Care Nurses, especially in Country regions of Australia..

Maybe you could have a Morning Tea with friends to raise money to donate to Jane and Glen's Foundation...

My heart also goes out to Glen and their 2 kids, and the whole extension of the McGrath Family..

She surly touched a lot of hearts, and will be sadly missed...

R.I.P Jane, you're long fight is now over...

EDIT:: I Loved Mel's idea so much,so for the next few days i am going to use this name in remembrance of Jane and her brave fight....

  11. I live in England, I only heard of Jane Mcgrath's passing away after I clicked on your question.

Cancer is an absolutely awful disease. My uncle was diagnosed with cancer a few months ago. I can't believe how it has ravaged his body in such a short time.

He has lost so much weight and looks 20 years older than he is.

As Jaye has suggested, perhaps fans could campaign for all women to have mammograms at least once a year and those who are at higher risk could be tested more often.

I don't know how it works in Australia because I don't live there.

Condolences to Glenn and his family, may God give them the strength to come through these difficult times.

  12. agreed

    great people

    a tragedy

  13. Condolences to Glenn, James, Holly and their families. I was so very saddened to read about Jane's passing. It seems their wish that we donate to the Foundation to help find a cure, improve treatment and focus on early diagnosis. One thing we can do is fight to have free mammograms for all women not just those over 40. Too many  women are lost to this hideous disease too early in life. If every fan donated $1..it could make all the difference in the world.

Australia lost an amazing woman today and a great husband and 2 beautiful children lost the most influential person in their lives.

    R.I.P  Jane.

  14. HelenES, I can't think of a better tribute than for all cricket fans to donate to the Jane McGrath Foundation or a cancer charity in their country.  It may be your donation that helps find a cure.
