  1. Show an honest interest in what they're doing, and make sure they develop the discipline to get their homework done properly.

Help your child with their schoolwork by working through problems, not to solve them for your kid, but to establish an understanding of how to approach problems.

I see a dramatic difference between public school students and home schooled kids.  The difference has to be the care and attention that parents provide.

  2. take them to library and study with them

  3. help them to teach thier work.ask some questions when test .

  4. study with them!!

  5. 1-Encourage your child, academically speaking

    2-help with homework

    3-buy instructional dvds

4-hire a local tutor, if your child needs one

  6. Study with them. Help the with homework. Tutor if the child needs one. Make the child study. Make the child do his/her homework.

  7. Give them goals to reach and then have a reward  for them when a goal is reached.

  8. help them in school and  be surrportive and wen the get a good grade u should reward them so theyll try to keep getting good grades

  9. privet teacher

  10. help them study or with their homework. or get them a tutor

  11. tutor, after school help, do homework with them, extra

  12. Several things:

    1.  Establish a personal contact with the teacher.  Go to ALL parent-teacher conferences.

    2.  Speak positively about the whole school experience in front of your child.  No bad talking the school or policies in front of your child. (If you have concerns take them to the appropriate school official.)

    3.  Get involved in your child's daily school experience;  keep an eye on homework and help when needed, attend PTA and other social activities offered by the school or your child's class.

    4.  If possible, volunteer in your child's school...as field trip chaperon or some such.  Or be a 'room parent'...hosting holiday parties in your child's class.

    5.  When problems do arise, address them promptly before they escalate.

  13. Communication between the school and the parents.   Even if you work,  you need to take time to see what's going on.

    This includes:

-helping with the homework every night

-communicating with the teacher about academics, social issues/behavior issues

-talking to your child about how they feel about school

-attending open houses and parent-teacher conferences.

-emphasizing the importance of a good education and good grades.

Basically, be aware of what's going on.    Some parents have their heads in the clouds about what's going on with their child.  Some people don't even care that their child is failing or has behavior issues.

  14. Encourage them.  help them with their homework and studying for a test, get to know their teacher and work with her to help them in problem areas.  Praise them for all the hard work and good grades and instead of degrading them for the bad work even harder to improve.  Don't make it seem like a task but instead fun.  read a book yourself to encourage them to read, show them how you have to know math to balance the checkbook or bake a cakeIf you want your child to succeed and do their best then you have to get involved.

  15. Help them with their homework. Quiz them when they have a test or quiz. Go talk to the teachers, they might tell you some things to help.
