I do not have weights, i cannt afford them, so i though that using your own body as a weight is a good idea. Push ups was the first thing that came in my mind, so can anybody tell me how many reps, or what positions or how long should i do push ups for in a workout? and is there anything to make them easyer and harder? thanks :)

  1. using different widths of arm span isolates different muscles but generally push ups are an all round upper vody exercise a push up is about 70% of your body weight 3 sets of 12 reps is good once this is easy try using resistance e.g. a sports elastic rope thingy you can buy em or wear a bag with weights in, there are numerous variations of push ups, or home exercises get 2 large cans in each hand arms straight and move in small circles your arms will burn

  2. Muscle tone around you arms and build muscles in your chest

  3. This may prove useful to you:

  4. You can't just do one exercise to tone up of improve your body. Ideally you also need CV and resistance. You don't need to spend any money on this. CV will be adequately covered by jogging and there are masses of different resistance exercises that you can do with minimal equipment.

  5. Hands wider apart builds chest, touch thumb tips together great triceps handstand press huge shoulders

  6. They are a good all round exercise for the upper body, covering chest, biceps, triceps and back muscle.

Try keeping your body as straight as possible, try varying the width your hands are at and when you get better even try one handers.

Rep wise, max out, that's what I do.

    Good Luck
