  1. Get the school counselor to their job and to do it right.

  2. Zero tolerance.   It is not 'just kidding' or 'having a little fun'.  That's the way the kids excuse their behaviour but it is not kidding and it is not fun for the person who is being bullied.

In the words of Barney Fife ..."Nip it! Nip it in the bud"

  3. Pray that parents will start raising their children correctly and not just let them run amok.

    And that's about it.

  4. It's easy to give advice because the advisor can't feel how you do.  But here's mine.

Insist that the school do something and if it comes to actual physical violance document it and call the police.  Of course don't expect the school to appreciate your efforts.  But if you persist your child should at least be physically safe.  The other thing you need to watch out for is negetive reactions from the teachers.

The community is encouraged to stay out of the schools and that is part of the problem.  On the one hand I wouldn't want just anyone walking into a school on the other the people on the inside feel they can do what they want.
