  1. There are many disposable plates and utensils that are made of biodegradable things like corn starch. They could also look at durable items that are washed instead of single use items.


  2. Try disposable insulating cups and plates, choose cornstarch based products. They are easily biodegraded, made from a renewable resource, and do not require atmosphere-harming chemicals during production. Another alternative is to consider buying recycled paper cups with insulating recycled-paper sleeves.


  3. Ecologically speaking, the best thing would be reusable plastic trays and plates.  It would cut down on waste, and would be a lot cheaper over the long term.
