    Maybe the software engineer can get a job writing programs for the military...


  2. Quite a bit, actually.  Avionics in aircraft are all run by computers.  Computers need software.

    Even missiles have computers in them.  Their guidance systems use software.

  3. Hack the enemies computers, write viruses to implant on enemy networks to disable them or shut them down for good. to name a few things...

  4. Yes, the military has people in almost every type work you might do in civilian life.  

  5. They can write the thousands and in cases, millions of lines of programs needed for intercontinental missile guidance systems.
