What can someone tell me about Carowinds?

I am going to visit a friend and he is gettong some tickets for the crowinds theme park in NC. Someone told me that since they dropped Paramount they are not worth a c**p. I have never been there at all. Is it fun . What rides do you suggest.

The only thing that has happened since the Paramount name was dropped is that some rides have changed names, and the backwards train on Thunder Road was turned around (which sucks).

I suggest all the coasters, especially Nighthawk, and whatever Top Gun is now called.
