What can someone tell me about the san pablo, ca area?

I am 23. I have a possible job opportunity there, and I am thinking about going. What is the music/bar scene like? Are there a lot of colleges in the area? Would I have a good time or be mostly bored?

Nice place to raise gang members=) jus kiddin that is a cool small town most people travel to larger populated areas to party althogh the local bars are cool but tideous

It is mostly a blue collar area. Good weather and close to UC Berkeley. I do not think it is know for any real bar/club scene. Areas of San Pablo could be rough so it will depend on the location of your job.

It's reasonable driving distance from Berkeley, Oakland and San Francisco. I think you'd be in pretty good shape for music and bars.
