What can stop hyd. jack from resting at bottom fully?

  1. excessive fluid.


  2. stripped or worn gear/tooth from cranking up to very top to many times that is if it wont go all the way inside the cylinder(up)

    if it goes inside the cylinder over time(ie the trailer toung is resting on the ground after a couple of days)  {wont stay up} i would check the seals

  3. Dump out a little bit of oil and it will be fine.

  4. I would say something stuck between one of the moving parts or possibly too much fluid.
