What can the NRL do to stop losing Stars to Rugby & English Super League? Timana Tahu etc...?

I watched Australia A v Tonga in the Rugby yesterday, at North Sydney Oval. Timan was the best player on the field, he set up 6 tries individually and score 1 himself, the guy was brilliant. So is poaching a problem, should the NRL raise the Salary Cap?

Probably nothing. Only answer is to make more money available to players so that they aren't enticed to leave the comp. Trouble is to do that you have to raise the salary cap and that would result in pushing most of the already struggling Sydney clubs over the edge & into extinction and/or return us to the bad old days when the wealthy clubs had the best talent and most matches and the comp itself was a foregone conclusion before a ball had even been kicked off.

One good aspect to this talent drain might be that in the long run it might mean a genuine & exciting international competition. Cause the drain of the best Aussie & Kiwi players to Superleague should strengthen the Superleague & thereby raise the standard of the English team. The Kiwi's would improve as their best would either be playing in the Superleague or the NRL and the Aussies would be less formidable because of the ARL policy of refusing to consider overseas based players for either state of origin or Australian teams.  I'm sure that wasn't the intention of that policy, but that's what it's effect will be, because it sure as h**l won't stop players taking the rich superleague contracts.

Don`t worry ,most of them don`t make it in rugby, and return to league.,before long, The one real exception is Brad Thorn.Look when the ARU wasted most of their money on Loti Tuqiri ,who`s really only average,and had very little left ,for the best Rugby player in Aussie.....Mark Gerard, they were lucky he was loyal and didn`t go and play in Europe.

players go where they get paid the most. so they need 2 raise the salart cap before they lose more good players.
