  1. Resources?

I don't know what they pay professional athletes in Australia but here in America they are freaking millionaires.

I think the individual player has all the resources he/she needs in his/her bank account.

How much does a good treatment program cost?

    20 grand? ....30 grand?

    chickenfeed to professional athlete.

    Punishments?

    Like what?

    Fired?

If the money they can make is not enough to keep them on straight and narrow...

then they don't need drug treatment.

    they need a shrink.

    Translate...."grand" is one thousand

    "shrink" is a psychiatrist.

  2. The war on drugs is almost pointless. It's all supply and demand. As long as people want to numb themselfs on something...There will be drugs.

  3. I think similar to what they do in the NFL. Three strikes and your out.

  4. pay them less. they get way too much money. they should be playing the game because they love it.

  5. i feel that the players need to be educated as many of them enter footy at a very young age and thier lives are completly dominated by footy. When they become adults and on huge salaries alot of other influences start to havean affect. I feel if the AFL, NRL or whatever other sporting bodies educated the players there would be a less severe problem with it.

  6. unfortunately theres no quick fixes

but in the long term, the league must be firm on their drug policy

random testing seems to work, but possibly more often

because some players are not being tested for 1-2 years

  7. They should get fired if they use drugs more than twice.
