2000 Ford Contour SE. Front wheel drive. when I'm driving on the street I can feel the left wheel kinda grinding, when I start to accelerate and drive on the freeway it vibrates, you can feel it in the pedals...any idea what it can be?... the brake pads and rotor on the left have been replaced, had transmission mounts replaced, have new front tires, had wheel balance done, brakes are good. could it be the CV joint or wheel bearings? or something else?...I hope its nothing expensive....

  1. you warped the rotors...or the rotors came warped...I suggest you resurface the rotors.

any I hope you replaced the pads and rotors on the right as well.

    Good luck!

  2. The caliper is probably bad. Replace both.

  3. CV joint ready to go .

  4. sounds to me like cv joint

  5. Sounds like a wheel bearing about to eat the hub out from what you are describing and usally a C/V joint will start making a clicking noise most noticiable when turning.

Get it checked out before you are stranded and risking the safty of you and others.

    Hope this helps.
