I have these lighter [than my skin] colored spots on my upper arm. I am light skinned but not white, kind of brown skinned. I only have the spots on my upper arms and they are only a few, on my left arm more than my right. They started coming out about like a month ago..at first one or two now a bit more, I looked at pictures of the Tinea Versicolor spots and they don't really look like that. Does anyone have any idea of what this can be?

They dont itch or anything.

  1. Just 24 hours before  the onset of spots, whether u took any new foods, exposed to polluted atmosphere, eaten non-veg. food in a star hotel, any new food item, which ought not have been suitable to u.

It must be due to allergy. u may see a general physician to help u out.

  2. If it was tinea versicolor, you would expect the spots to itch, so I doubt it, too.

Show them to your local pharmacist.  Any changes in skin (your largest organ) should be looked at by a health professional who can see it for him/herself.

In the meantime, I wouldn't expose them to excessive sunlight.

All the best and hope it can be easily treated! :-)
