- Tube of petroleum jelly or other lubricant,

- Cleansing agent, and

- Non-perishable packaged or canned foods and juices (check the expiration dates),

*Stock up on prescription medications.

*Turn refrigerator and freezer to coldest setting. Open only when absolutely necessary and close quickly. Keeping the coldest air in will help perishables last much longer in the event of a power failure.

Stay away from glass, board up your windows, get surplus supplies of food, watch the weather and hope for the best. Also, basements and bomb shelters are good for really dangerous ones.
