Where have you been?  The "ozone hole" is passe'.  Nobody talks about that anymore, or "acid rain" either.  A true greenie only talks about "global warming" these days.  That's the current cause.  I am not sure what will be next, when GWing exposed as another con job, but for now the wackos are playing it for all it's worth.

there is no black hole in th ozone layer, just a hole. i dont think we would be here if there was a black hole!! if your hairspray has cfcs in it then yes, im afraid it has to go

The environmentalists stopped the use of propellants in aerosol cans years ago. The old aerosols used the equivalent to refrigerant R11 as the propellant. They started the use of pump spray bottle until a environmentally friendly propellant could be found. No problem with the ozone layer. Another environmentalist subject was that refrigerants were the cause of the depletion of the ozone layer. In 1991 the use of R12 was banned. I was a refrigeration mechanic and we had to takes classes and a test to recover ALL refrigerants.
