What can we as Americans do to promote peace?

start with striving for peace within our private homes

Stop invading other countries.  I don't know why we feel that we have to police the world.

1. Be respectful and accepting of other people, especially those with differing views

2. Have a strong national defense so others don't feel that they can attack us without suffering consequences (the best defense is a good offense)

3. We can educate ourselves and our children so that we can learn from past mistakes

Change our old saying to " The best defence is no offence, don't work at making enemies.

Consult with all nations to find ways to prevent problems rather than using a 'my way or the highway' approach.

Do not use our economic clout to force others to do our bidding, and do not always try to outbid others that also need things.

Stop importing so much of the world's oil. Leave some for others. Leave some for future generations.
