India is sitting on a ticking bomb while the terrorists are having a blast (pun intended). One day, it is Bangalore. Another day, it is Ahmedabad. And the list goes on. Innocent people die and become newspaper statistics. State machinery suddenly wakes up from a deep slumber and runs helter-skelter to save its face. Politicians fly down, visit the ruins, visit the hospitals, give hollow speeches, pass superhuman statements and leave the city; all these while the timer of the next bomb has already started counting 10, 9, 8…State intelligence is just a myth that we are forced to believe. Billions are spent on securing the borders but not even a fraction of that goes for securing what lies inside these borders. Let’s honestly accept that we are a failed state when it comes to tackling terror. We have lost faith in the state. Let’s not take solace in self-appreciating newspaper lines like – “The city bounces back after terror”. The bitter pill is that we don’t bounce back; we just put up a white flag. This message goes to all the citizens of the world. Let’s not tolerate terror. Let’s fight it and knock it down. For once and for all.

  1. stay indoors.

  2. Hmm, well the American people could start by voting out the Republicans-that'd please most of the world's population no end, terrorists included. Then they could protest their government's foreign policy, and get them to stop invading/bombing/sanctioning nations which disagree with them or have the temerity to elect a leader who is not favourable to US interests. The whole middle east debacle, the current situation in Afghanistan, and the whole Iraq situation are DIRECTLY attributable to American foreign policy. I have visited the USA many times, and found the people to be utterly charming...but their government is the most voracious & dangerous terrorist organization on the planet.

Oh, and don't forget the old maxim; "One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter"

  3. to stop global terrorism we must overthrow the us government. r u terrified of anyone else. they r the only organized gang of terrorist that any one of us americans are gong to be victimized by. do you think you know the truth about 911. they have sattelites in space that can read the date of a dime on a newyork side walk but they cant find osama bin ladden which by the way the bin ladden family has been freinds with the bush family for years.

  4. We as a nation only need to ask one question... Do we want our children to have a safer and peaceful  world than we have now? Our answer is yes!!! and its not hard to do that! To make sure that our children will live in a better world. All we need to do is heal the hearts of our fellowmen! sotp the hatred in our hearts!

  5. Educate your self and others.  Terrorists are ideological extortionists.  Don't give in to their ideas.  You can't do anything about people that plant bombs.  That is what makes them so scary.

  6. Just continue the investigation.

U.S. has spent more then four years in Bill Clinton's time to conclude the bombing by al Qaeda: from Oklahoma to 911 plus.

  7. Terrorism is a worldwide "war", and there is no country in the world, whatever the religion of its people and the politics of its government, that is not affected nor has no reason to fear terrorism.

The problem has been that terrorism has been proved to work in getting fanatical extremist political wishes expressed in numerous parts of the world. The only effective way to fight terrorism is by extreme vigilance, and by the forces of Authority (Police, military, government and ALL opposition politicians together in unity) using state of theart technology such as CCTV to prevent terrorist outrages happening. And when the terrorist do succeed in killing ensuring those responsible are caught and punished after a fair trial

    .

No we must never put up a white flag and terrorists should never be negotiated with, as that merely encourages them to commit more outrages and far more innocent victims suffer as a result.

The families of those who die or are held hostage, or seriousy injured as a result of terrorist outrages, in whatever country, have a right to feel aggrieved. But nowhere in the world should an outraged population ever lose sight of the fact that deaths from terrorist acts are just a dot in the ocean in comparison with numbers killed by "Acts of God" like earthquakes, volcano eruptions, droughts, tsunamis, cyclones etc. ;and even a smaller dot compared to total numbers killed and injured in WarI For example in World War II 20 Million people in total lost their lives in one country (Russia) alone!!

  8. Ban religion.. it is the root of all evil.

  9. Vigilance is one of the costs of freedom.
