Question:

What can we do about the siding?

It's got a pretty big hole in it. Is there a repair kit or something for it? Will we have to replace a whole section, or is there replacement sizes that are considerably smaller?

Any ideas are greatly appreciated! THANKS!

  1. what kind of siding? Vinyl, aluminum, hardy board? we need a little more info please

  2. If it is vinyl or aluminum you will need to replace the whole piece that is broken, just go from seam to seam. If it is hardy board or cement siding it depends where the hole is. Near a seam on a short board, just replace the whole board. If near the center of long board then you can cut it out and replace with a smaller board but the seams will not match correctly. If put on correctly the seams are not very noticeable but as the homeowner we tend to know where every seam is so that part is up to if you can stand knowing the seams don't match exactly even though most people will not notice.
