  1. 1) Kuranda, go up on the rail and come back on the skyrail if you can.  I believe they have markets two or three days a week which I believe are nice.

    2) Great Barrier Reef.

    3) Rainforest

    4) Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park (Kuranda)

    5) Wildlife places (inc a Butterfly Farm somewhere)

  2. Visit the Barrier Reef, the Daintree Rainforest, Kuranda via the skyrail, Daintree River croc tours etc. Heaps to do and perfect weather. There is loads of info when you get there about things to do.

  3. Wow you will enjoy yourselves as cairns is a truly beautiful place. We visited in August 05 and the weather was still glorious.

I would suggest hiring a car if you can so that you can go out and about exploring as there are some wonderful beaches etc to see.

We spent 5 days in Cairns and loved it. We stayed in palm cove which was very pretty.

    1) Be sure to do the day trip to the Great Barrier Reef. We went with Quick Silver and spent the day on the outer barrier reef. The trip out is on catamaran.

    2) We also did a trip to Cape tribulation which involved visiting Mossman Gorge, Daintree rainforest and croc spotting on the Daintree river.

I would also suggest doing the "Sounds Of Firelight" trip which is a trip out into the rainforest in the evening where you have dinner by candlelight in the rainforest! whilst seeing some entertainers perform.

Having a car will also give you extra time to do your own exploring too.
