  1. In 600 BC the Hanging Gardens were irrigated by water pumped from the Euphrates River. Babylon was subsequently affected by many diseases , some related to the presence of this large area of vegetation and water, which diminished their attraction.

  2. Parts of the structure are still there. I think once the war is over that the World will come together to preserve all these history places in Iraq where life as we know it began or when recorded history began, The garden of Eden is there also.

  3. You are going to need a time machine - if it ever existed.

Other than the writings of Strabo, Diodorus and in the Scriptores Rerum Alexandrii Magni they are not mentioned, and so no ruin, to anyone's knowledge, even exists.

  4. Some people say they never even existed.

  5. I'm sorry, but the Hanging Gardens have been lost for centuries. Certain areas have been established where they might have been, but the gardens as a place no longer exists.

  6. There are ruins of the hanging gardens.  But I don't think there is enought there to preserve.  I knew a man who visited the ruins during WWII, they were still  remnants left at that time.
