What can we do to lower the gas prices?

What can we do to lower the gas prices? :( i think paying 4.13 for a gallon is not worth it. it's waste of money.:(

Drive less. I get 14 MPG in my GMC Envoy. I can buy a new car after I finish paying mine off. I still have 7 Months unfortunately. I drive less and try to do all highway miles.

Gas prices are not going to go lower.  We need to use alternate fuels or vehicles that use less gasoline.

Demand is already down in the US from last year.  The oil prices are being driven by speculators (think stock market) not by oil demand.  The oil companies are benefiting but they are not driving the prices.

As individuals, we all have to do more to conserve energy.  drive less; buy fuel efficient cars when replacing; open the windows instead of switching on the air; lower the heat in the winter; use CFL light bulbs; buy energy efficient appliances when buying new; etc.

As a country, we need Congress to stop pointing fingers back and forth across the aisle and develop a real energy plan that focuses on the US becoming energy independent.  This includes a short term strategy and long term strategy realizing there is no one solution that can be used nationwide to reduce our dependency on foreign oil.

Once we develop a plan and begin t execute it, oil prices will come back in line.  Right now we are all over the place as far as technology and Congress is sitting in the background twiddling their thumbs while they get money from the lobbyists and oil companies.

There is only one way to drive the price down... use less gas.

I've seen all kinds of boycott schemes, but they won't work because they don't affect the demand for the product.

Using the reserve we currently have stockpiled would help.

Consumers can do more by biking, walking, carpooling, etc. When demand goes down, prices tend to fall. Of course, our addiction to oil is so ingrained, it seems to be alot to ask.

My company start to work 4 days a week, 10 hrs a day to save your energy and gas for the employees.  That's one way to start for the company.  I think it is good to start with car pools btw co-workers, dont take de-tour too much, instead going on vacation, do a cookout in the backyard.  While the corporate(Oil Company) making profit, we suffer the worst.  The rich get richer and the poor getting poorer.
