What can we do to make Blacks feel comfortable in society?

I always feel bad for the Blacks because it seems like not enough people are helping them these days.

My father and I would like to do something to help end a lot of the discomfort that Blacks have in public and around police officers. We are planning on giving seminars to help them get their lives back on track by showing them that college is possible for them and that it is better to be on the right side of the law.

Are there any other ways that we can work to help Dr. King's dream come alive?

How sweet and loving of you and your Dad for recognizing that there is a problem first off.  You've already taken the first step in thinking about it.  Making others like yourself thinking about is the next step.  Then pumping the importance of education into our youths head with all your energy is the final goal.  The Universe will handle it from there.

so you feel bad for the blacks..that is good...now what about the native-americans that we almost made extinct and put on reservations and we took all their land and rights...do they have there own tv channel..do you see them playing sports...do you see them making hit records...people are so worried about helping the blacks but most everybody forgot about our Indians and what we did to them

For starters am already in college missy, but thanks anyway I see white, asian (rare), black, hispanic homeless people so yea homeless in general who could use you and your daddykins advice......how old are you? But you can help me by not actting shocked that am a 21 year old black female virgin, and that am shy at times and enjoy reading and LOVE rock and classic and oldies but act normal if a white person is loose or not.

Treat all races like humans so we can forgot how your people raped, kidnap, and beat us for learning and degraded us for no reason.

Nothing.  

Because the onus is upon them.  We can help insure that all forms of bigotry are prosecuted.

But ultimately it is still up to them, whether or not they choose to feel comfortable in society.

Remember, Asians have been treated pretty poorly in America too.  Yet what do they do with themselves?
