  1. Talk to legislators.  They were going to try to raise the minimum pay here from $23,000 to $32,000.  Legislators turned it down.....

  2. I wish I knew, too.  Everyone says 'children are the future' and 'our kids need to be educated,' but it all seems like empty buzz words.  I think our government and our taxpayers need to dedicated more money to education-which would attract higher-caliber teachers, too.

  3. Well, if you don't do something before an employer offers me a $60k per year paycheck, you'll be down one math/science teacher.  I come from a $60k job and I'll go right back unless conditions improve substantially.

  4. That IS an interesting question! I guess I'm stupid in a way though because I'm going to be in school four years total for a job that pays 32k/ year!

  5. Elevate the perception and significance of educators.  The relevance of teachers to the inspiration of learning is priceless  Instructors should maintain a position in the divisions of labor beyond survival subsistence.

  6. I don't know but I hope you do something about it.

    Somebody please help us!

  7. Encourage teachers to have 99 children so we could claim "Married/99" for more deductions and then can get a larger "net" check....LOL!

Seriously though...I wish I had a good answer for you.  All I know is that I don't think the answer will come in the short term.
