  1. In the winter, turn down thermostat...in the summer, turn down ac. Wash clothes in cold water, don't waste water. Turn off any appliance that isn't being used at the moment. Good for you for trying to minimize electric consumation. :)

  2. There are afew ways

don't use electric appliances too  prematurely

for example a dishwaher with one cup inside

    wash that by hand.

Wait until you have a full load to wash clothes

lingerie items can be hand washed.

Turn off the lights from room you are not in.

    this runs the electric bill

Instead open the blinds and use nature's light.

Don't have too many things like the radio television on at once.

This can run up the electric bill

    Use one or the other.

    For the environment

    recycle cans and bottles

    along with newspapers and magazines.

    use cloth bags when shopping

    instead of plastic bags.

    compost vegetable peelings

    along with orange peelings.

    There is alot of garbage

thrown away that could be recycled

that is blowing around in landfills

  3. turn off everything and unplug when not in use

  4. First things first. Close or turn off all things if you are not using them. (i'm not telling you that you just used the stove then have to stop for ten seconds. keep it on if you are going to use it in less then 2 minutes)

If you can, try to ride your bike or walk instead of using your car or anything that runs on gas or electricity. Gas pollutes the air, and if the air is polluted, automatically more electricity is used.

You have probably heard this a million times, but recycyle! Trash trucks run on gas you know!

Participate in community service projects. Doing community service projects (like cleaning the park with friends, canning food for the needed...) all the money donations and cleaned things help the envirement AND save electricity. (if you clean by hand instead of vacuum or something you can save electricity)

To save money, buy things that you need, and try not to buy the extra things. (like a life supply thing of candy, toys for your children...) that saves money.

Sorry if this isn't that much help, but i try!

  5. I unplug everything I'm not using, the washer, dryer, lamps.  They don't need to be plugged in all the time, plus I get the added bonus of exercising, I have to get up, bend over and plug things in when I need them.

  6. A programmable thermostat helps. You don't have to remember to turn it up or down when you're away or going to bed. Change filters often, it keeps everything running more efficiently. Only turn on the heat or AC when absolutely necessary. Open windows and use fans when it is hot and put on more clothes when it is cold. Do only full loads of laundry and in cold water. Only run the dishwasher when it is full. Open the curtains instead of turning on lights, sunshine is free.

  7. easy

follow this link and you do both - infact its in the title!!!

  8. Turn lights off if your not in the room, turn the TV off when not watching it (not on standby), get energy efficient appliances and light bulbs, get good insulation in your house if you live in a cold area and use heating a lot...

Also appeal against the government for withholding many 'free energy' technologies just so suit the sick plan of the global elite.

  9. The single biggest thing you can do is reduce the amount of air conditioning that you use.

In the summer, the AC will use more than all the lights, TVs, DVD players etc all combined many times over.

If at all possible, instead of using the AC, just keep the windows open for a nice breeze through the house.

  10. Do you've power-save Lamps ?

    :- )

  11. Turn off lights when not using them.

Turn off electric devices when not using them.

If you have an electric water heater, insulate it with a fiberglass insulation blanket.

Go outside for recreation - get away from the TV.

Use lower-wattage light bulbs in areas that don't need a lot of light.

If using an electric stove, always cook with a lid on the pot or pan - it retains heat and helps food cook quicker, so you can turn down the heat under the pan.

  12. Don't forget to air dry your laundry. Sunshine and wind are free...and everything smells better after drying on the clothesline.
