Now that Globilization has hit our cupboards, our pet supplies, our children's toys, we are learning that the loss of American industry and merchandising to other countries is not such a good thing. Many of our dogs have been killed or sickened, our food supply is frequently unsafe, and now we learn that our children are being poisoned by doses of lead in painted toys? What other horror awaits us"
The government is supposedly studying the problem and China, the main culprit, is promising to be more vigilant, but in the meantime, we depend upon merchants to remove faulty products from their shelves and sometimes this just isn't done.
What can we do, other than write our Congressmen, to assure the safety of food products and other essentials. Since hardly anything is Made in America, are our laws useless? Are we at the mercy of these careless countries with no regulations of their own?
