Up plug electroncs not in use, don't keep cell phone charger plugged in if phone is not attached, up plug, toaster. Turn off computer when no in use.

Best answer is planning.  Don't take multiple trips in your car per day.  If you know there are 3 places you need to go, then plan on making one trip to all three.  Try not to make left turns when planning your trip.  Making left turns requires waiting for traffic to pass, and waiting for the turn signal to turn green before you can go.  Plan your trip in a circular fashion using only right turns.  You'll spend less time waiting at lights and save fuel.  UPS has developed software that maps out drivers routes in some locations in the US so their drivers only make right turns to make their deliveries.  They have documented the energy saving and are planning on implementing this in more areas.  You can find out more about conservation by conducting a search on www.GoElectricNow.com.

Tons of things!!!

1)don't drive as much, ride your bike, walk, take the bus, etc...

2)use energy efficient appliance/light bulbs and don't leave things on you aren't using

3)take shorter showers, don't leave water running

4)recycle!!! that includes giving away things to Goodwill and charities!

5)update your home with things such as solar panels and other 'green' energy saving ideas

6)buy a car with better gas mileage or a hybrid/electric car, don't drive as fast, don't have heavy things in car if you don't have to

7)just use less in general!

theres a few things there...of course there are millions of other things you can do...doesn't matter how small, the more you do the better...it adds up!
